2.4 Maintain Organizational Item Attributes

 

  • Form Application: Inventory
  • Form Name: INVIDITM
  • Form Path: /oracle/apps/r12/visr12/apps/apps_st/appl/inv/12.0.0/forms/US/INVIDITM.fmx

Item attributes are either master controlled or organizational controlled. Organizational items screen is used to update / maintain organizational attributes. Item must be enabled in local inventory organization before attributes are setup.

Navigation: Inventory responsibility -> Items -> Organizational Items

  • Select the inventory org in which you need to maintain organizational attributes.
  • Enter the ‘Item Number’ and click ‘FIND’
  • Item information opened with existing attributes. Navigate to different tabs and update the organizational item attributes.
  • Save the changes.

2.1 Create Item in Local Inventory Organization

 

  • Form Application: Inventory
  • Form Name: INVIDITM
  • Form Path: /oracle/apps/r12/visr12/apps/apps_st/appl/inv/12.0.0/forms/US/INVIDITM.fmx

 

Items are created in master organization first and enabled in local inventory organization later. Item must exist in master organization to activate in local inventory organization.

Navigation: Inventory responsibility -> Items -> Master Items -> Click on ‘FIND’ icon (View – Find)-> Enter Item Number to search existing item -> Click ‘FIND’

Item information in item master organization screen opens up.

  • Navigate to Tools -> Organization Assignment
  • Check the ‘Assign’ check box against each local inventory organization.
  • Save the changes made.

Items are enabled in local inventory org now.
