If your organization manufacture’s a product that uses a part from CISCO, then you can define the CISCO’s part number with the equivalent part number you have created. This helps in reporting and purchasing.

Navigation: Oracle Inventory responsibility -> Items -> Manufacturer’s Part Numbers -> By Manufacturers

• Enter ‘Manufacturer Name’
• Enter ‘Manufacturer Description’
• Click on ‘Parts’
• Enter ‘Part Number’ used by Manufacturer.
• Enter the corresponding ‘Item’ number your organization use
• Save the information
