9. ECO Material Dispositions

ORACLE APPS COMMUNITY > Tutorial > ECO

ECO Material Disposition Codes are setup in Oracle Engineering module. These codes are used for updating dispositions on Engineering Change Orders (ECO). Material Disposition Codes are extensible lookup codes that means they comes with some seeded (out of the box/standard) values and each business can add new codes to it as required.

Navigation: Engineering -> Setups -> Material Dispositions

Enter the Code, Meaning, description of new lookup values. Check enabled flag to activate the lookup code.

8. ECO Auto Numbering

ORACLE APPS COMMUNITY > Tutorial > ECO

ECO Auto Numbering is a setup done in Oracle Engineering Module that controls numbering for each employee/user. ECO numbering can be setup differently in each inventory organizations.

Navigation: Engineering -> Setups -> Auto Numbering

1) User Name: Select user login

2) Organization Code: Select Inventory organization

3) Prefix: ECO number prefix

4) Next Number: ECO Number for the next ECO when this user creates.

Save the changes.

7. ECO Reasons

ORACLE APPS COMMUNITY > Tutorial > ECO

ECO Reason Codes: ECO Reason Codes classify the reasons for making changes through ECO. Typically reason codes helps in management / operational reporting. ECO Reason codes are attached to ECOs when they are created.

Navigation: Engineering -> Setups -> ECO Reason Codes

1) Reason: Name of the ECO Reason code

2) Description: Meaningful description of the ECO Reasons.

3) Inactive on: End date of ECO Reason codes.
