Archive Pricing Entities

Arching different pricing entities (pricelist, modifiers etc) can be done when you longer need them. Archiving functions moves the pricing entity information from main table into an archiving table, so data is still there in a backup table but won’t be actively in use. This reduces the number of records in main table and improves performance.

When you finally decided you no longer need even archived information then you can run the purge program that deletes the information permanently.

Navigate to Oracle Pricing Manager responsibility -> Archive Purge Pricing Entities -> Archive Entity.

qp_archive_price_list

1 ) Enter Archive name

2 ) Select entity type – Different entities you can select are Agreement Price list, Freight and special charge list, Deal, Discount List, Standard Price List, Promotion, Surcharge List.

3 ) Select the source system (Oracle Pricing)

4 ) Select the entity name, if pricelist is entity then pricelist name chosen here. If modifier is entity then modifier name is chosen here.

Click on ‘Submit’, this launches a concurrent request that archives the pricing entity information.

Modifier Incompatibility Group

When you create modifier lines, you can assign a phase and an incompatibility group to each modifier line.  Pricing business rules allow the pricing engine to apply only one modifier for each incompatibility level and phase combination; any incompatibilities must be resolved.

You can review and change incompatibilities in the Incompatibility Groups window.

For each incompatibility group within a specific phase, you can view the modifier lines assigned to one incompatibility group and then re-assign them to another.

Incompatibility between modifier groups can be resolved using precedence or best practice.

Navigate to Oracle Pricing Manager responsibility -> Modifiers -> Modifier Incompatibility Setup.

qp_modifier_incompatibility_group

2 ) Click on ‘Modifiers’ and select a different modifier group.
