4. ECO Change Types

Oracle Engineering Change Order (ECO) Change  Types are setup to classify the ECOs. This is very key field on ECO that not only helps in classification/reporting but also drives the ECO approval process. When ECO is created ECO change types are associated to it.

Navigation: Engineering -> Setups -> Change Types

1) Type: Enter the change type name

2) Used for: Engineering or Manufacturing

3) Description: Description of ECO type

4) Inactive On: Enter the date to inactivate the ECO type

Click on ‘PROCESSES’ to map workflow processes (approval process) to be followed based on ECO type and ECO priorities.

Save the changes.

WIP Move transaction

WIP (Work Order/Job) move transaction is performed when the the job completes one one operation/step and ready to move next operation/step.


Navigation: WIP -> Move Transactions -> Move transactions

  1. Enter the WIP Job number
  2. Select the ‘From’ and ‘To’ WIP operation sequence,step
  3. Enter the quantity to move
  4. Enter the transaction reason and reference (optional)
  5. Click on ‘Save’ to complete the transaction.
