Description:

Automated packing can be done during pick release. This functionality works only if item-container relationships is defined and container item is allocated to the sales order line. Alternately you can run ‘Auto-pack deliveries SRS’ concurrent program to accomplish the same.

Navigation:
Shipping super user responsibility -> Shipping -> Pick Release

  • Enter the pick release parameters
  • Click on ‘Inventory’ tab
  • Select YES for auto pick confirm.
  • Click on ‘Shipping’ tab
  • Select YES for ‘Auto create deliveries’ and ‘Auto pack delivery’. You can also select YES for ‘Auto pack master’ to pack the nested container.
  • Submit the concurrent program.
  • Verify the results.

Auto Packing Delivery Lines into LPNs

Description:
LPNs (License Plate Numbers) are logical grouping of different delivery items into one name, this allows further transactions by LPNs. LPN need necessarily represent a container but any you can treat a LPN as container as well. You can auto pack deliveries into LPNs using shipping transactions query manager.

Navigation:

Shipping super user responsibility -> Shipping -> Shipping -> Transaction

  • Query the Delivery Lines
  • From the ‘Actions’ drop down select ‘Auto Pack’. You can also select ‘Auto pack master’ if you have nested containers where one small container is packed into large container.
  • Click ‘Go’
  • Save the transaction.

Manual Packing Delivery Lines for a Delivery

Description:
Delivery lines can be packed into containers manually or automatically using item container relationship. Once packing is done weight and volume of container updated automatically.

Navigation:
Shipping super user responsibility -> Shipping -> Shipping -> Transaction

  • Query the Delivery Lines
  • From the ‘Actions’ drop down select ‘Pack’
  • Click ‘Go’
  • Select/enter the container
  • Click ‘OK’ button
  • Save the transaction.
