5.0 View On Hand Inventory
This functionality / screen is used query ‘On-hand’ that is available within an Inventory organization.
Navigate to Inventory responsibility –> On-hand, Availability –> On-hand Quantity.
All the fields available on the screen are used to filter the data. Eg. If you enter Item & Subinventory, then onhand available in that subinventory is only displayed in the output. If only Item is entered in the query then onhand from all subinventories is shown in the output.
There are other tabs (Lot, Serial, LPN, Project, Receipt) with additional fields to narrow the onhand search criteria.
Optionally you can save the search criteria with a name for later use.
Once you click ‘FIND’ output shows you the on-hand. On the left hand side you can drill down from inventory organization to subinventory to locator.
By clicking ‘STATUS’ button you can see the status of On-hand inventory. Inventory Status is Warehouse Management System (WMS) module functionality. If you inventory organization is not enabled you won’t see this. However in R12 it is available as Inventory module base functionality.
Inventory Status will control what transactions are allowed on this. For example if ‘Ship confirm’ is not allowed, then even though you have on-hand you cannot ship to customer sales order.
By clicking ‘Availability’ you can see the total on-hand, total quantity available for reserve and total quantity available for transactions.
