Manufacturer Part Numbers screen help to capture Part Numbers used by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). If your organization manufacture’s a product that uses a part from CISCO, then you can define the CISCO’s part number with the equivalent part number you have created. This helps in reporting and purchasing.
Navigation: Oracle Inventory responsibility -> Items -> Manufacturer’s Part Numbers -> By Manufacturers
- Enter ‘Manufacturer Name’
- Enter ‘Manufacturer Description’
- Click on ‘Parts’
- Enter ‘Part Number’ used by Manufacturer.
- Enter the corresponding ‘Item’ number your organization use
- Save the information

Are these values automatically integrated into any exiting standard Oracle functionality ?
My assumption is “no” since the name of the manufacturer is freeform.
we wanted to know if these values automatically print on the PO documents or if we would need to customize to include them?
