Quick Codes Setup

 

Form Application: Oracle Order Management
Form Name:  FNDLVMLU

Quick Codes or Lookups are defined to control the list of values (LOV). OM lookup codes allows setting up quick codes used by oracle Order management module. Only user or system extensible quick codes can be added.

Navigation: Login to Oracle Apps -> Select Order Management responsibility -> Setup

  • Navigate to  Setup -> Quick Codes -> Order Management
  • Query the Lookup code
  • Update, modify or delete the code values

Save the changes

 

Defaulting Rules Setup

Entering a sales order is involved with many clicks to enter data, by setting up defaulting rules time to enter sales order can be dramatically increasing by specifying the rules to default. Defaulting rules can be setup for order header & Order lines. For each attribute (field) on the screen can be defaulted based on the order. Conditional templates when these defaults rules should be applied also can be specified.

Navigation: Login to Oracle Apps -> Select Order Management responsibility -> Setup

  • Navigate to  Setup -> Rules -> Defaulting
  • Query the entity name eg. order header, order line
  • Click on Defaulting template to setup the applicable rules
  • Select the attribute
  • Click on Defaulting rules to setup the defaulting sequence

Save the changes

Credit Check Rules Setup

Credit Check rules controls the what rules to be followed when credit check rule is called. Credit check rules are attached to OM transaction types (order types), you can have different credit check rules at different phases of sales order cycle.

Navigation: Login to Oracle Apps -> Select Order Management responsibility -> Setup

  • Navigate to  Setup -> Rules -> Credit
  • Query any Credit Check rules to modify or enter new credit check rules to setup
  • Enter Credit check rule name
  • Enter Credit check effective start and end dates
  • Go to ‘Options’ tab to update details
    •     Credit Check level
    •     Credit Hold level
    •     Override Manual Release
    •     Days to honor manual release
    •     Conversion type
    •     Check Item Categories
    •     Send Hold Notification
  • Go to ‘Exposure’ tab to update details
  •     Update pre-calculated exposure
  •     Include external credit exposure
  •     Include Open receivables balance
  •     Include payments at risk
  •     Open receivables days
  •     Include uninvoiced orders
  •     Include freight and special charges
  •     Include tax
  •     Include orders currently on-hold
  •     Include returns
  •     Scheduled shipping horizon days
  •     Maximum days past due
