Oracle Quoting Overview

Oracle Quoting enables customer quotings prior to convert them into sales orders. Many Engineered-To-Order (ETO) or Configure-To-Order (CTO) business types requires quoting and negotiating with customers prior to converting them into sales order.

Quote: It is an offer made to customer covering the details of product/services offered, terms and conditions, price and necessary signatures, activity period. Quote can have different statuses reflecting the different steps in quoting cycle. Once quote is approved it will become legal document. If you are Oracle Field Sales modules then quote can be imported from opportunities.

Quoting Templates: It improves productivity by storing repeatable information such as terms/ conditions or product related details etc. Templates make quoting process easier and faster.

Credit Check: Quoting module is very well integrated with other modules like OM, BOM, Pricing, Configurator, AR etc. Quoting allows credit checking of customer based on credit check rules defined in AR.

Copy Quote: Apart from templates quotes can also be cretaed by copying from another quote.
